At Rapid Circuit, we specialize in PCB copy and PCB reverse engineering services. Below are some frequently asked questions to help you understand our offerings and processes. If you have further inquiries, please feel free to contact us.

General Questions

Q1: Can you clone multilayer PCBs?

Currently, our PCB copy services are limited to single-sided and double-sided PCBs. We do not support multilayer PCB cloning at this time.

Q2: Can I obtain the schematic and layout of the PCB?

We provide Gerber files and NC drill files as part of our deliverables. However, we do not supply schematic diagrams or source files.

Q3: My PCB includes both SMDs and through-hole components. Is cloning possible?

Yes, we can clone PCBs that incorporate both Surface-Mount Devices (SMDs) and through-hole components.

Process & Requirements

Q4: How should I proceed if I want to clone my PCB?

To initiate the PCB reverse engineering process:

  1. Capture clear photographs of both sides of your PCB.
  2. Email the images to [[email protected]] or send them via WhatsApp.
  3. We will review the images and provide a quotation along with the estimated completion time.

Q5: Is it necessary to provide a physical PCB sample for cloning?

Yes, a physical sample of the PCB is required for accurate cloning.

Q6: I’m unable to send a physical PCB sample. Are there alternatives?

If sending a physical sample isn’t feasible:

  1. Scan both sides of the PCB at a resolution of 1200 dpi.
  2. Measure and note the exact dimensions of the PCB.
  3. Send the scanned images and dimensions to us.

Note: Cloning complex PCBs without a physical sample may be challenging and less accurate.

Deliverables

Q7: Do you provide a Bill of Materials (BOM)?

Yes, we do supply a BOM as part of our PCB copy services.

Q8: Will you provide a solder paste file for stencil creation?

Yes, we include solder paste files necessary for stencil fabrication.

 Additional Services

Q9: Can you supply a prototype PCB after cloning?

Yes, upon completion and approval of the cloning process, we can manufacture a prototype PCB for testing. The minimum order quantity is one unit. However, please note that we do not offer assembly services.
