Led PCB
As printed circuit board technology has continued to develop gradually, it has been continuous improvement in the way of PCB product innovations. The best suitable and prime example is the development of the PCB for LED lighting. The LED Chip is soldered to the Printed circuit board and features a chip on PCB that produces the light when electrically connected. A thermal heat sink and a ceramic base are used to bond the chip and to control the heat as well.
An LED Printed Circuit board tends to generate a high volume of heat, which is very much difficult to control by epoxy grade. Consequently, metal core Printed Circuit boards are mostly chosen for LED application due to their enhanced ability to dissipate and absorb heat. Aluminum metalcore in PCB is often used to manufacture circuit boards for LED lights. The aluminum PCB typically includes a thin layer of thermally conductive material which is dielectric. this material can transfer, absorb and dissipate the heat with much greater efficiency than a regular epoxy grade rigid PCB.
LED
LED stands for the light-emitting diode. The LED chip is a solid-state device and it does not require heating of a filament to create light. Rather, electricity is passed through a chemical compound present inside LED that is excited by electricity and generates light. LED does not mean bulbs or lamps in the true sense of the word and application. Complete LED application requires a lot of work to make them ready to be used by the consumer. LEDs are placed on a circuit board that allows electricity to pass through at a specific voltage and current and with components required to operate them at specific voltages. Voltage and current supply unit to LED PCB is also known as an LED driver.
Ambient
The surrounding light level in a specific area. Ambient is also the temperature in which a LED light source is expected to operate within. Referring to light naturally, it is the light given by the sun, moon, other light fixtures nearby or even within the same space. Natural ambient is higher always.
LED Bars
LED Bars Refer to a solid strip of material on which LED has been placed and soldered along with resistors and other electronics components that a specific LED Bar product requires to make them operate at the stated operating voltage and current consumption. These bars are generally an enclosed strip of LEDs. Enclosures may be plastic, fabric, aluminum or metal composites with various types of lens/covers. The best example is LED tube light.
LED Array or
Cluster
A group of LEDs design and Placed in a square, rectangular or linear pattern and formatted to be operated at a specific voltage. They will always include wires called leads. One is negative, the other positive. Both negative and positive are supplied by LED drivers. there are four wires - red, blue, green and common IN RGB LED Product.
Color Temperature
A measure of the color of a LED light source relative to a black body at a particular temperature is expressed in Kelvin (K) unit. Incandescent lights have a low color temperature (approx. 3000K) and have a red and yellowish tone. Warm white LED Light color has a color temperature between 2700-3500K. Lamps with color temperature rated between 5100K and 6200K are viewed as white whereas lamps above 6200K tend to have a blue.
LED Drivers
LED drivers are current and voltage control devices that replace the need for resistors. LED drivers can handle the change input voltage and maintain a constant amount of current (output power) to the LED as its electrical properties change with temperature. LEDs with good driver do have a long life.
LED Lighting
A general term used by the consumer for all the types of led products. Ex. Bulbs, tube light, 400w led, 100w led, etc.
LED Strips
LED strips are usually printed circuit boards with LEDs are placed and soldered to the board. The strips can be rigid or flexible and without an enclosure to protect the LED and circuit. Strips are used for decoration generally.

PCB LED lights can be incorporated into numerous lighting applications due to their combination of low cost, excellent energy efficiency, and maximum engineering design flexibility.
